Stick Legends Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
Rod Software LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Stick Legends app. This Privacy Policy explains what data Stick Legends collects, how that data is used, how privacy and consent choices operate, and what options may be available to you.

1. Scope
This policy applies to the Stick Legends apps for iOS and Android and related backend services used to provide gameplay, purchase, advertising, and support functionality.
Stick Legends uses an anonymous, device-linked account model. The app does not require you to provide your name, email address, or password to access gameplay. An anonymous account identifier and related device-linked authentication data are used to support online gameplay, leaderboards, progression, and deletion workflows.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Anonymous Account, Gameplay, and Device-Linked Authentication Data
When you use Stick Legends, we may process data associated with an anonymous account identifier and related device-linked authentication data, including:
- anonymous account identifier
- optional display name chosen by you
- gameplay progress such as gold, XP, and level
- match history and results
- leaderboard rankings
- equipped weapons and armor
- daily reward status
This account model is intended to support gameplay without requiring your real name, email address, or password.
2.2 Purchase and Entitlement Data
If you make in-app purchases, purchase information is processed through RevenueCat and the applicable app store services. This may include:
- product identifier and transaction status
- receipt or equivalent purchase validation data
- entitlement or fulfillment state
- platform (iOS or Android)
Payment card information is processed by Apple or Google, as applicable. We do not receive your full payment card information.
2.3 Advertising, Consent, and Diagnostic Data
Stick Legends includes advertising provided by Google AdMob. The app also uses Google User Messaging Platform ("UMP") to manage privacy and consent flows.
These third-party SDKs may collect or process categories such as:
- device advertising identifier (for example, IDFA on iOS or GAID on Android, where available and permitted)
- advertising interaction data
- coarse or approximate location derived from network or device signals
- device or app diagnostic data
- privacy and consent choices
2.4 Customer Support and Feedback Data
If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback feature, we may collect:
- the message text you provide
- the anonymous account identifier or related device-linked identifier needed to associate the request with the relevant account
Submitting feedback is optional and initiated by you.
3. How We Collect Data
We collect data from:
- you directly, when you choose a display name, play online, submit feedback, or make purchases
- your device and the app, to create or maintain anonymous, device-linked account access
- our game servers and backend services, which store gameplay progress, match data, and leaderboard data
- RevenueCat and Apple or Google app store services, for purchase processing and entitlement management
- Google AdMob and Google UMP, when ads are displayed or privacy consent is managed
4. How We Use Data
We use data to:
- provide the core gameplay experience, including online multiplayer, leaderboards, progression, and daily rewards
- authenticate your anonymous account and save your progress
- process in-app purchases and apply purchased gold or other entitlements
- show ads in the free version of the app
- present and honor privacy and consent choices where required
- support customer service and troubleshooting
- maintain server stability, security, and abuse prevention
We do not use gameplay progress or feedback messages to build advertising profiles.
4.1 Identifier Use for Internal Operations
-
Anonymous account identifier and device-linked authentication data:
- Used to authenticate your anonymous account, associate gameplay progress with the correct account, support customer service, and process deletion requests.
-
Purchase and entitlement data:
- Used to validate purchases, apply purchased items, restore access, prevent abuse, and resolve billing or support issues.
-
Advertising and consent data:
- Used to deliver ads, support ad measurement where permitted, and honor privacy choices where required.
We use these data elements only for app operation, advertising and consent functionality where applicable, security, fraud and abuse prevention, support, and deletion handling.
5. App Permissions and Privacy Controls
5.1 Tracking Permission (iOS)
Where applicable on iOS, Stick Legends may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before ad-related tracking occurs. If you allow tracking, advertising partners may use your device advertising identifier for personalized ads and ad measurement. If you deny tracking, the app will still function, although ads may be less relevant.
5.2 Privacy and Consent Choices
Where required by law or platform rules, the app provides a "Privacy Settings" option in the Settings screen so you can review or update applicable advertising and consent preferences.
5.3 Other Device Permissions
Stick Legends requires network connectivity for online multiplayer, leaderboards, advertising, purchases, and connected deletion requests. The app does not request camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar, health, or precise location permission.
6. Data Sharing
We do not disclose gameplay progress or feedback messages to advertisers or data brokers.
Advertising-related identifiers, consent data, and similar SDK-generated data may be processed by Google AdMob and Google UMP when ads are shown or privacy messages are managed. Depending on the jurisdiction, some ad-technology disclosures may be treated as "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under applicable law.
We may share data with service providers only as needed to operate the app:
- game server and backend infrastructure providers, to store anonymous account data, gameplay progress, match history, and leaderboard entries
- RevenueCat and Apple or Google app store services, for purchase processing, receipt validation, and entitlement management
- Google AdMob and Google UMP, for advertising, consent management, diagnostics, and related measurement
When we use service providers to operate the app, we do so only for the relevant service and expect those providers to protect data in a manner consistent with applicable law, platform requirements, and their published obligations.
Where required, the app provides consent or privacy-choice controls intended to let you review or limit those ad-related uses.
7. Retention and Deletion
7.1 Account and Gameplay Data
Anonymous account and gameplay data remain on our backend while the account remains active, unless deleted earlier at your request.
7.2 In-App Deletion
You may request deletion from the Settings screen in the app.
If the app is online and able to communicate with our backend when the deletion request is made, we delete the anonymous account and associated server-side gameplay data and also remove local data from the device.
If the app is offline or otherwise cannot reach the backend when the deletion request is made, the in-app flow may only remove local data from the device. You may still use the web instructions at https://rodsoftware.com/pages/stick-legends-delete-data or contact us for additional deletion assistance.
7.3 Data Deleted When a Connected Deletion Request Succeeds
When a connected deletion request succeeds, deleted data may include:
- anonymous account identifier and optional display name
- gameplay progress such as gold, XP, and level
- match history and results
- leaderboard entries associated with the account, subject to short technical propagation delays
- equipped weapons and armor
- daily reward status
- locally stored settings, caches, and consent state on the device
7.4 Data That May Be Retained
Some data may continue to be retained outside the in-app account record:
- purchase records maintained by RevenueCat and by Apple or Google under their own policies
- advertising and consent data handled by Google SDKs, according to Google's policies
- limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or legal-compliance records, where reasonably necessary to resolve payment issues, prevent abuse, or comply with law
Any such limited records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
7.5 Local Data
Deleting the app removes locally stored data from the device, subject to platform behavior and backups you control. Deleting the app by itself does not necessarily delete the server-side anonymous account.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- delete your anonymous account and associated server-side data through the in-app Settings screen when the app can reach our backend
- follow the web instructions at https://rodsoftware.com/pages/stick-legends-delete-data if you no longer have access to the app or cannot complete deletion while connected
- change your display name in the app
- manage privacy and consent choices through the in-app Settings screen
- change tracking permission on iOS under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- manage purchases through your Apple or Google account settings
- contact us with privacy questions or requests at legal@rodsoftware.com
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children
Stick Legends is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 as a kids-only service.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without required consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us at legal@rodsoftware.com and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to reduce risk, including encrypted network transport, purchase validation, service-provider controls appropriate to app operation, and measures intended to protect gameplay integrity and prevent abuse.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to limit unnecessary data collection and exposure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, update the in-app or public policy link.
